Hello everyone! In this post, im going to mention about how to use augmented reality in education. Firstly, what is augmented reality? It is the result of using technology to superimpose information — sounds, images and text — on the world we see. This is rather different from virtual reality. Virtual reality means computer-generated environments for you to interact with, and be immersed in. Augmented reality (also known as AR), adds to the reality you would ordinarily see rather than replacing it. Educators know that the learning process should be all about creativity and interaction. While teachers do not necessarily need to recruit all students into science, their goal is to get them interested in a subject. That's where AR could come in handy.Nowadays we may find some excellent examples of augmented reality in education worldwide. Ability to connect reality and digital content has been steadily improving, opening more options for teachers and students. A basic example for that; Google Translate. It is just great for studying foreign languages without a dictionary. By using Google Translate special “AR mode” you may instantly check up unknown words. Works well both for students and tourists, to navigate in cities abroad.

Hi everyone! There is a new application for seeing your students activities, it's Seesaw. Teachers can check their students and see their process by Seesaw. They are able to download application and also it has own website. It is a platform for student engagement. Teachers can empower students to create, reflect, share, and collaborate. You, as a teacher, create a class first. Students join that class and they can share their homeworks, activities etc. whenever they want. Students create their own portfolio there and teacher see all of the process. Families only see their child's work and leave comments and encouragement. There are some settings about privacy, e.g. students posts' visibility, their likes and comments. There is some photo from my phone.

Hi everyone! Thanks to today's developing technology, we can live inside the virtual world, new habitat for us. But what's that? What is that Virtual Reality? It's three dimensional simulation that generating, managing by computers -and humans, absolutely-. What appears in the screen of computer seems like real physical world. It's name summarizes us the meaning of it, near reality, virtual but has reality. We should use the sense organs for feeling like its real, and virtual reality equipments offer us the all feelings. As a teacher, how can we take advantage from that VR enviroment? E.g. when student read a text, s/he wants to experience that happenings or enviroment and it's possible with virtual reality! Also it can be develop student's creativity because of visuality. Another example is that student can make experiment in a lab but actually s/he will be in classroom. VR allow students to understand how things work based on practical experience. Learning by doing is the most memorable learning type and virtual reality provides this style.

Hi again! This application has kinda weird name, right? But it is really really helpful for learning and teaching. It has 6 exercises inside and these exercises can also quite easily be imported into an LMS like Moodle to be used for assessment of learning content. You should download it to your computer for using. Hot Potatoes is freeware, and you may use it for any purpose or project you like.It is not open-source. It was originally meant to create language exercises, and some HotPot exercises have little use otherwise. However, most exercises can be used for any subject. There is quick link
to its official website.
